چکیده

Within the wide family of Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), the Flyback converter represents the preferred structure for use in small and medium power applications such as wall adapters, off-line battery chargers, fax machines, etc. The calculations involved in the design of a Flyback converter, especially one which operates in discontinuous mode, are not overly complex. However, the analysis of the impact of the environment upon the system may require a lengthy period of time: ESR variations due to temperature cycles, capacitor aging, load conditions, load and line transients, the effects of the filter stage, etc. must be considered. A SPICE simulator can help the designer to quickly implement his designs and show how they react to real world constraints. The simulation market constantly releases SMPS models, and the designer can rapidly lose himself in the eclecticism of the offer. This article will show how you can benefit from these new investigation tools.

A New Single-Phase Single-Stage AC-DC Stacked Flyback Converter With Active Clamp ZVS

Single-stage AC-DC converters integrate an AC-DC front-end converter with a DC-DC backend converter. Compared with conventional two-stage AC-DC converters, single-stage ACDC converters use less components and only one controller, which is used to regulate the output voltage. As a result, the cost, size and complexity of AC-DC converters can be reduced, but single-stage converters do not perform...

Novel Frequency Swapping Technique for Conducted Electromagnetic Interference Suppression in Power Converter Applications

Abstract: Quasi-resonant flyback (QRF) converters have been widely applied as the main circuit topology in power converters because of their low cost and high efficiency. Conventional QRF converters tend to generate higher average conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) in the low-frequency domain due to the switching noise generated by power switches, resulting in the fact they can exceed...

Dual-Switch Quasi-Resonant Flyback Converter: Cost Effective Alternative to LLC Resonant Converters

This paper presents dual-switch Quasi-Resonant (QR) flyback topology as a cost effective and reliable alternative to the LLC resonant converter for energy efficiency regulation. The proposed topology shows excellent efficiency performance, while maintaining simple design of the conventional flyback converters. It offers higher efficiency than LLC resonant converter at medium and light load, res...

Review of Zero-current Switching Flyback Pwm Dc-dc Converters

Zero-current (ZC) switching pulse-widthmodulated (PWM) flyback DC-DC converter is an extended version of the single switch flyback converter with an additional active circuit. The purpose of the active circuit is to turn-off the main switch with zero-current switching (ZCS) condition to reduce the turn-off switching loss. This paper presents an overview of the ZCS flyback PWM DCDC converters. T...

Modeling of Cross-regulation in Multiple-output Flyback Converters

In this paper, complex operation of multiple-output flyback converters is explained in terms of the extended cantilever magnetics model. Analytical results are derived that can accurately predict steady-state cross-regulation properties of a converter with any number of outputs and with arbitrarily complex magnetics configuration. Two snubber configurations are considered: a passive voltage-cla...
